Purchased this tool for helping build guitars doing small router work and other things. It works great . No problems so far apart from the dog sings at the same pitch as the dremel when set at 35000rpm. quite funny really

My last dremel went on and on for years and was much used. However one day the wife decided to tidy my garage up a bit and it's mever been seen since. So after much fruitless searching i finally had to bite the bullet and buy a new one. this time i decided on a more powerful motor and a flexidrive and this little baby is just great. The new speedclic system is just fantastic, so useful and quick to change over, although the prices of the blades etc is more expensive they do last much longer and best of all they don't just suddenly fly off or disintergrate like the old type. i've bought loads of the speedclic discs, my favourite is the diamond tipped disc, i use that for cutting glass tiles, everything else i'd tried including a 4 1/2" diamond disc just shattered the glass tiles, as the tiles were a mixture of glass and metal mosaics i couldn't use a normal tile cutter, the dremel went through both metal and glass without a problem, the flexi shaft made cutting them a breeze and didn't seem to rob too much of the motors power. all in all a lovely little piece of kit, well worth the money and i've found more and more uses for it as it proves just how versatile it really is. highly recommended.

Arrived the day after i ordered it - really pleased with the service and price. i've given up on mini cordless drills due to the batteries conking out after a couple of years, so i'm hoping the corded version will be more reliable. it would be useful if a selection of collets was provided with this tool, (seeing as hobby drills are often used by jewellers and miniaturists who use drill bits with small diameters), but that's a criticism of dremel rather than tooled-up. apart from that, i have no criticisms at all - dremel tools are great all-rounders.
