I saw this scale ruler on the job a few years ago, used by a master joiner, and fell in love with it (the ruler, not the joiner!). I recently remembered the ruler and did a bit of research to find the best product. No question that Festool's ruler is the "proper stuff"; not a lot of competition mind you, it's pretty specialist kit, but it's by far the best from what I've seen. Tooled-Up's price was the most reasonable I could find, in-stock and fairly quick delivery. Upon recieving the ruler I had a good close look, and I wasn't disappointed: the build is excellent, very sturdy. The joints are suitably, reliably rigid with satisfying "click" to open and close. The markings are clear to read. You even get degree markings in the first section joint. Bonus. Haven't used it for prolonged period of time yet, but I am confident so far. Recommended.
