Makita DHR264 Twin 18v LXT Cordless SDS Plus Hammer Drill
The Makita DHR264 is a versatile twin 18v LXT cordless SDS Plus hammer drill that delivers professional performance for drilling and light demolition work. Powered by two 18v LXT batteries connected in series to drive a powerful 36v motor, this three-mode rotary hammer generates 2.5 Joules of impact energy and up to 4,800 blows per minute, making it ideal for demanding applications in concrete, masonry and steel.
The innovative Quick Change chuck system sets this drill apart, allowing tradespeople to switch seamlessly between SDS Plus bits for masonry work and straight shank accessories for conventional drilling tasks. This eliminates the need to carry multiple tools on site, whilst the compact design ensures excellent manoeuvrability in confined spaces.
With a maximum drilling capacity of 26mm in concrete, 13mm in steel and 32mm in wood, the DHR264 handles a wide range of drilling and chiselling applications. The 40 different chisel angle settings provide precise positioning for chasing channels and breaking out work, whilst the LED worklight with preglow and afterglow functions ensures visibility in poorly lit environments. The ergonomic softgrip handle and battery capacity indicator further enhance usability during extended periods of use.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
