Makita DTD155 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Impact Driver
The Makita DTD155 is an 18V LXT brushless cordless impact driver designed for professional fastening applications across a wide range of trade sectors. Developed as an 18V version of Makita's TD111D CXT model, this impact driver features the innovative A-Mode setting which helps eliminate cam out and cross threading by driving at low speed until the start of the tightening phase, making it ideal for precision fastening work.
The brushless motor technology maximises runtime and efficiency, whilst the 2-speed impact power selection provides versatility for different applications. With a maximum fastening torque of 140 Nm, the DTD155 handles standard bolts from M5-M14 and high tensile bolts from M5-M12, making it suitable for electricians, joiners, and general contractors working on metal or timber frames, decking, and general construction tasks.
The compact design features a slim motor housing and ergonomic grip for comfortable extended use, whilst the electric brake and variable speed trigger control offer precision. The integrated LED job light illuminates the work area, and forward/reverse rotation allows for easy fastening and removal. The DTD155 is supplied as a bare unit with belt clip, requiring a separate Makita LXT 18V battery and charger.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
