The Makita DTW180 is a professional 3/8" square drive impact wrench powered by 18v LXT lithium-ion batteries, featuring an advanced brushless motor for enhanced efficiency and durability. This compact and lightweight tool delivers impressive performance with 310 Nm nut busting torque and 180 Nm maximum fastening torque, making it ideal for automotive, mechanical, and assembly applications.
A standout feature is the innovative reverse rotation auto stop mode, which automatically brakes the tool in just 0.2 seconds when a bolt or nut is sufficiently loosened during counter-clockwise operation. This prevents over-loosening and protects both fasteners and threaded components. The tool offers 2-stage impact power selection, allowing you to match the power level to the task at hand, whilst variable speed control via the trigger provides precise operation.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
