Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

I have not owned a strimmer before and was keen to make the correct decision. Generally I like Black and Decker tools as they have proved to have quality and long life. I was also keen to have a battery powered tool. Reading reviews it seemed the 18v version might be a bit underpowered so I bought the 36v version as I wanted it more for strimming tall grass and weeds rather than edging lawns. I found the strimmer very effective and easy to use and certainly not overpowered. It is important that it has a telescopic adjustment for taller users. The instruction were clear. As I do not have other Black and Decker battery tools I also bought the battery and charger which were add on options. They came in the same box as the strimmer carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. For safe keeping I have found a box at home where I keep both. I have hung the strimmer on a hook in the garage and keep its head covered in a hemp tote bag. Would happily recommend for domestic use.
great light duty machine and easy for lady use
Robust well balanced machine, good line feed operation. Wire guide to help with edge cutting on borders and divider between path and lawn, usless. Need good eye and balance to use machine on borders

This strimmer is powerful enough for big jobs and easy to use, battery life is good & the price reasonable
