Bought to cut down a leylandii hedge, comprising of four bushes - a mass of around 15x6x10ft. When it came to removing the stumps below ground level, i dug a trench but after two stumps the chain seemed blunt. So i bought a second chain for the moment rather than a sharpener. However i felt it had done well as it had cut through a lot of wood. an 8 inch stump is probably about the maximum i would want to tackle using this tool. the chainsaw feels solid and well made. Fitting the bar and chain is a bit fiddly unless you have an extra pair of hands available. But once on it's easy to adjust the tension now and again. The mains cable is a good length. the bottle of free chain oil was welcome because otherwise none is included with the product. I used about half a litre on my job. You will definitely need at least gloves and face protection to use with this. in all very satisfied so far.
