Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Bosch PowerForAll
The Bosch PowerForAll Tool range is a range of tools you can buy knowing that batteries are compatible with all tools in the range providing they are of the same voltage. eg 18v fits 18v, 12v (10.8v) fits 12v (10.8v) etc. Please also note that 10.8v is compatible with 12v & vice versa as it is just a name change. Indego Lawnmowers also use the PowerForAll 18v battery but require a cover plate to be removed if changing.
PowerForAll has many advantages not least the fact that once you have a tool with a few batteries then there is no need to buy the more expensive versions with battery & charger, you can just go ahead & buy the much cheaper no battery versions!
So remember PowerForAll signifies complete battery compatibility throughout the range. There is however, one caveat to this, some of the very first older chargers will not charge the very latest batteries & a battery charger upgrade will be required if you have a first generation charger. All batteries fit all tools however.
As of 2021 Bosch has licensed PowerForAll to other manufacturers whereby batteries between these manufacturers will be interchangeable.
Important
You cannot use Bosch Pro (Blue) batteries in either 12v or 18v DIY (Green) products.

I ordered a new battery. I received a new battery. (unlike batteries I bought from amazon marketplace and e-bay, both of which were supposed to be new, but had to be returned because they weren't).

Very impressed with your unquestioning and speedy replacement of what i thought was a faulty battery. Sadly, although i want it for a three year old strimmer, it turns out that bosch have changed the battery model. So, no use to me until i buy a new strimmer.

The battery does not work on the ld style strimmer i have although it looks exactly the same. Bosch should make parts that work for all their products. Waste of my time and money

Q : How long does the 1.5ah battery run on one charge?. Thank you.
A : Hi Patricia, this will depend on what you're using it for as some tools will use energy a lot faster than others - for example a lawnmower might drain a battery in 10 minutes while a torch could go for several hours. That being said, the 1.5ah battery is the smallest that Bosch do in this range and will be more suitable for torches than lawnmowers - it will be most suitable for light or intermittent use and won't hold its charge for very long in more demanding tools like lawnmowers.
Q : Will this battery fit instead of Bosch lithium ion battery ref 51 MR 18/6S-1 which is a 1.3 Ah no 2607 336039 that my Bosch hedgetrimmer AHS 48 LI uses?
A : I can confirm that as long as your hedge trimmer is 18V and has has the Power4All logo in it then i can confirm that this battery will be compatible. I would recommend contacting Bosch on 0344 7360109 and they would be able to confirm Power4All compatibility
Q : Do you also stock the charger for this battery?
A : I can confirm that we currently stock the Bosch POWER4ALL AL 2216 and Bosch POWER4ALL AL 1830 CV chargers, both will charge the Bosch POWER4ALL 18v Cordless Li-ion Battery 1.5ah
