Q : Hi when will product be back in stock please?
A : Hi Brian, based on the current ETA from DeWalt these are expected back in on the 1st of November. We do still have some of the DeWalt 2mm line in stock (20997536) as well as some spools for the DCM571 (21023385)
Q : Hi we have purchased the 69 plus metres 2mm wire for our dewalt battery strimmer. The existing spool does not appear to be one that can be opened up to allow new wire to be rewound on. Do you sell a spool for the strimmer that allows us to use the wire already purchased please? Thanks
A : Hi there, the DCM561P is not part of our product range but I've had a look online and watched a video of someone changing out the line - on the standard spool it appears you push down the spool cap and rotate it at the same time to release it and access the interior of the spool where you would wind on the new line. Unfortunately we don't sell the spools by themselves but if you contact DeWalt they may be able to supply you one as a spare/replacement part.
Q : We have bought the very long 2mm wire for the DCM561P dewalt strimmer but expected a spool to be on it. Not sure if the string can be threaded onto the existing spool or not? Can you please advise? I bought it from you on Amazon.
A : Hi there, I'm guessing from your description you might have ordered the 68 metres of 2mm line on product code 20997536? This line is supplied as a loose roll, but yes you should be able to wind the line into the spool yourself on just about every grass trimmer that I know of - some people don't like doing it so you can usually buy complete spools as well to save a bit of time and effort. If you consult the user manual for your grass trimmer it will hopefully include instructions on how to do this.
