I had some old ash in the grate that should have been cleared out months before so i tried out the new filter attachment on the day i received it. It worked very well and the suction force did not appear to have been degraded by the convoluted pipework system that is now evident. It doesn't take long to assemble and using it with a vacuum cleaner will keep the vc's own workings much cleaner.
Works well but some ash gets sucked through into cleaner. this reduces if you let the filter in the can get a bit 'clogged' - does not reduce the efficiency.
