This really is a "mean green log splitting machine". As with other reviews it is good to have a flat even surface to push the logs along. I have had one log bounce out the machine and very nearly knocked me out... Completely user error but certainly a lesson well learnt. the machine may not be the quickest but in my opinion slow and steady will win the race. as for assembly this was fairly straight forward, it will take 2 people to lift and secure in place as it is a fairly hefty piece of kit. as for "tooled-up.Com" i got what i wanted at a reasonable price,delivery was also good and i would certainly shop with them again.

Excellent machine. I have had mine two years now and it is still going strong. it is quite a lightweight build but for £200 it is v good value and the light build does not seem to be a problem. the electrical push button switch is a little low for someone of my height, 6ft 3", but i put my machine on a pallet and that sorts that out. i have a friend who claims log splitters are for sissys. He tried mine at christmas and his machine was delivered in the new year. I could not go back to an axe. one word of warning. Check all nuts, bolts and screws regularly, particularly the screws that hold the guide rails in

Very pleased with our purchase. its had 2 full days log splitting already and easily takes some big old logs. only struggles if the logs are too irregualr shaped. i use the log splitting maul for that. it has saved my back though on lots of splitting.

The kit certainly looks the business and seems very well made. To date it has worked well and handles large hardwood logs easily
