Easy to assemble & use. Quiet & a decent lead length. I read minor negative comments saying it 'hard to assemble', 'surprised it didn't include a screwdriver in the pack' & the collector box was hard to use. If you're that stupid you shouldn't be trusted with any power tool!

Strongly built garden shredder but not good for light waste such as prunings. Larger branches were happily munched into smaller chunks but too large for mulching

Good machine, pretty robust and quite heavy to lift if you have to. Easy enough to roll around on the wheels provided though. The blade cuts well enough up to the specified maximum size capacity but seems to need regular adjustment to keep it cutting cleanly. All in all very happy with it, it makes short work of a pile of hedge cuttings or trimmings and cuts them to an ideal size for composting or mulching. Not had it long enough to establish reliability but Makita is generally a good brand.

Very pleased with prompt delivery. Had trouble putting it together as could not move catch to slide collector out to get at motor. Catch for removing collector is very stiff and a fiddle to fix and release, hopefully will ease off with use. Machine does a good job but chippings build up and stick under blades if damp.
