Used for pulling beech hedge out by the roots. Done the job. The clipped hooks are ideal with polypropelene rope-always easy to release.The central bolt could do with a lock nut- had to keep tightening up.The release from tension is slow. Good bit of kit for the price
I used this to pull over some tree stumps around 4' high x 15" diameter to enable me to chain-saw through their roots more easily. worked a charm and in a couple of hours i completed two removals that would otherwise have taken me a couple of days, and saved myself serious back strain! beware, the ratchet quickly produces temendous pull/tension and the extension rope i used at first just wasn't strong enough; i had to replace it with something much stronger. the tension release is a little fiddly but nothing to put you off. Recommended!
