In spite of all my efforts ( before retiring i was a professional engineer ),i could not adjust the blade guides to cut a true 90 degree angle using the angle guide. I discovered that the upper guide mounting "shoe" - the "l" shaped item was out of square compelling the blade to bend to the left hence out of square and rendering the 90 degree cut impossible to achieve. I have made one attempt to square-up the offending item with some improvement but i shall have to try again. I am aware of course that i have voided the warranty by doing the above but the trouble involved with returning the product is worth it.

I am well pleased with the performance,for both soft and hard woods, but number of teeth per inch is a critical selection to achieve the best, as is blade tension, especially for deeper cuts. build is excellent except for the upper blade guide which could be improved and fitted without as much play in the system. overall it meets the purpose especially for the price paid

Good for hobby/general diy. not powerful enough for hardwood, unless you are prepared to take it very slowly. the side gauge isn't very accurate. It doesn't square off automatically when you tighten it, and the ruler isn't accurate. the right angle gizmo is helpful, but only for semi rough work. It wiggles in its slot, so it cannot be entirely accurate.

in spite of the fact that i did not receive my bandsaw for some time (because the manufacturers were actually out of stock when i placed my order), i am more than pleased with the product, although i haven't had a chance to use it properly yet. i was also very please with the service i received from tooled-up. I will certainly come back to you in the future, when i nee another tool or machine. thank you.
