I’m building a large covered area using green oak, C24 softwood and 18mm plywood. I’m a retired carpenter and joiner who used to sharpen and set all his own saws. I find many of the modern electronically hardened saws do not have sufficient “set” and are not as sharp as they should be making hard work and poor cuts. Stanley Fat Max may cost a bit more BUT it’s made like it should be and saves a lot of hard work.
