Great purchase! Spent a great deal of time looking at various models and went with this because of its renowned make and versatile offerings from being a car vacuum, DIY dust vacuum and a solution to mopping up wet spills etc. Really well build, compact and a nice looking professional product. Tooled-up.com were very helpful, prompt and efficient with delivery. Great all round experience.

Very impressed with the power of this vacuum, bought for building industry however my partner attempted to use it on living room long pile rug, brought it back to life in 1 spot but she had to switch vacuum off before she could move it, so don't think twice about buying this item

I purchased my unit some 5 years ago. It is not often used & only to vacuum outside when its sometimes Wet. The First point I wish to make is the Capacity, this unit will fill up Quite quick if the ground is wet & you will find you spend a bit of time emptying it. This brings me to the second Point, the empty process requires you to remove the Motor assembly, but this still leaves the Suction Pipe attached to the part you now need to empty. To avoid clumsy movement, you then need to remove the Suction Pipe. Over time the point where the pipe plugs in will get slightly affected by scratches & make it a Pain to attach & detach. I have seen a newer model where the Suction Pipe attaches to the Motor assembly thus allowing you to just unclip the top & removes the need to keep pulling the pipe out. Some other Machines have a Bottom outlet allowing the simple removal of water without the need to disassemble the unit. Bigger Jobs & this really is a pain in the Butt. The Filter does allow some moisture into the motor area over time & my unit just failed. Opening the unit, the internal build quality & further filters & gromets are not well made. On my unit the internal area looks surprisingly messy. I feel 100% sure that this is linked to the filter which seems to be made of a form of Paper. To Maintain the machine, I strongly recommend that you get in the habit of changing the filter regularly & in between use, remove it & give it a good clean as this does get quite clogged with dust etc. I have had reasonable use for it but hate the messing around removing the Suction Pipe & the motor every time it needs to be discharged. For very small jobs its ok if maintained for more Professional work or larger clean ups such as After a House Flood, its simply not man enough & you will get angry with the pipe. Value for money Yes for a very small user so I rate 3 out of 5 for that reason. Features I rate at a generous 2 because there is no lower outlet & the Pipe is a real pain in heavy use. Performance, I rated 3 because stopping dismantle & start makes bigger jobs slow thus impacting performance in terms of time. It does vacuum quite strongly though. Build Quality, having taken it a part I can report that many of the internal parts are not so well made & obtaining any replacement parts has been a pain with the motor ranging from £50 to 150 to replace. Seals & filters will be almost impossible to replace & so its not echo Friendly if your concerned with just throwing it away when it fails. The internal structure is basic & quite simple so Looking at its price its hard to see where the manufacturing cost is high which makes it a little expensive for its build quality. I learned a lot about the Karcher Brand & its quality expectation having exposed he internal parts. Pity one cant just repair it for the general user as this would prevent the product contributing to the Global Waste Pile. Bit of a story here but its honest & I hope this helps.
