Does what it says on the box. We have a large lawn with a lot of moss that needed raking out after treating with ferrous sulphate. The thicker patches needed three or four passes to rake it all out. I ended up with about 1 cubic metre of moss in the compost bin after about 3 hours of raking.

Good product, does the job really well. The build quality is good. Poor instructions on how to assemble.

I already own a bosch rotak 40 lawnmower and was expecting a similar level of design and build quality. however, while perfectly adaquate, it isn't on the same level as the lawnmower. the grass box is considerably smaller and is difficul to fit. at 50l capacity, i have to empty the grass box every 2 or 3 passes - it is an adaquate size but only just so. I would not consider going for anything with a smaller grass box capacity. 320mm width is also suprisingly narrow, going any smaller would make scarifying the lawn avery slow job. the folding handle for compact storage is a none starter - yes you could do it - but the same is also true of every other electric lawn mower and scarifier on the market. good points - it is suprisingly light to carry, runs very smoothly, the tines would be easy to replace, scarifies the lawn well and is eaasy to operate. this is a perfectly adaquate lawn rake - but if the same level of thought and manufacturing quality had been applied to it as the bosch rotak lawn mowers - it would have been a great piece of equipment

At first it looks like a very strong and well built m/c , in fact its quite flimsy , there's a lot of movement in the start-up handle and the grass box is a bit awqward at times . Ajusting the extended handle is also a pain compaired to the flymo , look at both befor you buy..
