excellent tool . Completed 1st round if topping trees perfectly. Slightly heavier cutting head than expected when using level from a ladder but worked well with good reach

Decent bit of kit, solid and effective but heavy. I tend to use it in short bursts but the extra reach has meant I've been able to trim areas previously inaccessible. I would recommend. I have a number of Ryobi pieces of equipment so could buy without the battery to get better value.

Good thing is that it come with two extension poles, BUT you can use it with just One. In my case that is all that I needed. I used it once last week and was pleased with the performance. Please bear in mind this is a Top Heavy machine and it takes some getting used to. If you are moving from a not extended normal hedge trimmer to this you will feed a difference and it does ache on your muscles initially as its like carrying an extended weights on a long pole. But I got used to it and found ways to get comfortable. The other thing is that the cutting speed is slower than an electric Trimmer I would say about 50% less in my opinion. So it does take slightly longer to cut an area. Overall I am satisfied with the product but you need to buy keeping the above in mind.

Worked well with existing 1.3amp battery, strap design not great, but performance was very good. Slightly stiff connecting head to shaft. Overall great to be fair.
