This configuration has the advantage that the chuck or bit don't cast shadows over the workpiece, ensuring excellent visibility at all times. Additionally, a charge level indicator above the worklight lets you quickly check remaining battery charge, and on the top of the machine a pair of arrows light up to indicate whether the drill is in forward or reverse - a handy reference which will appeal to anyone who has struggled trying to screw in a fastener while in reverse mode!
