Rust Oleum Alkythane Metal Paint

Rust-Oleum Alkythane 7500 is a urethane modified alkyd metal paint designed to deliver reliable corrosion protection on primed metal surfaces in light to moderate industrial environments.

Formulated without lead or chromates, the Alkythane 7500 series incorporates rust-inhibitive pigments that provide an added layer of protection against corrosion. Its urethane-modified alkyd base gives the coating good drying properties even at low temperatures — a practical advantage for contractors working in UK conditions where temperatures frequently drop during application.

Suitable for brush, roller, or spray application, this metal paint is intended for use over surfaces primed with Rust-Oleum alkyd primers. For metal structures in more aggressive industrial environments, an additional coat of alkyd primer or a further Alkythane 7500 finish coat is recommended to build up protection.

Available in high gloss, satin, and flat finishes (black and white), the coating is also offered in tint base for high gloss and satin variants. At 20°C, the paint is touch-dry in 2 hours and ready to recoat after 16 hours, with full hardness achieved in 7 days. Heat resistance is rated to 90°C under dry heat conditions.
