The Rust-Oleum Hard Hat Galva Zinc Metal Spray Paint is a fast-drying, zinc-rich galvanizing aerosol designed for the repair and protection of damaged galvanised steel surfaces.

Based on an epoxy ester resin, this 500ml aerosol contains pure zinc and aluminium pigment to deliver genuine cathodic protection — the same electrochemical defence mechanism used in hot-dip galvanising. It is intended for touch-up work and small area application rather than large-scale coating projects.

Suitable for use in light industrial environments, corrosive conditions, and high humidity areas, the product performs as both a primer and topcoat in a single coat system. It offers heat resistance up to 450°C (dry heat), making it appropriate for use on metalwork exposed to elevated temperatures.

Drying is rapid at 20°C — touch-dry in 20 minutes and ready to handle within 60 minutes. Recoating should take place within 2 hours or after a full 48-hour window to ensure adhesion integrity. Full hardness is achieved at 7 days.
