Black and Decker BHFEV36B2D 36v Cordless Brushless Vacuum Cleaner

The BHFEV36B2D is a versatile machine which can be configured to suit a number of different applications: use it as a handheld stick vacuum with the floor tool for cleaning floors and carpets, remove the floor tool for cleaning above head height or remove the long extension to give you more control when vacuuming at closer quarters. Three different speed settings also let you increase the power for maximum performance on tougher surfaces, or turn it down to preserve battery life during lighter duty vacuuming. The included upholstery nozzle and crevice nozzle can be stored on the tool so you always have them to hand. The floor tool is fitted with LED headlights for improved visibility when vacuuming underneath furniture and in other dark workspaces.

The BHFEV362B2D is fitted with a brushless motor, a feature more commonly seen in professional grade cordless power tools. This energy efficient design uses an electronic control circuit rather than the carbon brushes found in conventional electric motors, and as a result generates less heat and friction during use. The result of this is that the motor draws less power and battery runtime can be extended, meaning you can get more work done on a single charge. As the BHFEV36B2D is part of the Black & Decker 36v Lithium platform, batteries are also readily available separately, meaning if you have more than one to hand you can easily swap out the battery for a spare if you find you don't have enough charge to complete your cleaning in one go.

Speaking of batteries, the lithium ion batteries which the BHFEV362B2D uses are much more user friendly than previous battery technologies like NiCAD and Ni-MH; they hold most of their charge for long periods in storage, and can be charged at any time without damaging the cells. A charge indicator on the battery lights up at the press of a button to show you how much charge is in it, so you'll always know if it needs charging before starting a job.
