Everbuild Fire Mate Intumescent Sealant

The Everbuild Fire Mate Intumescent Sealant is a five-hour rated, one-part, emulsion acrylic based intumescent acoustic sealant that delivers a firm yet flexible seal to joints in a variety of fire rated structures. Tested following the principles of BS 476 part 20 (1987) as detailed in Warrington fire research report No. 144508/B (Feb 2005), this professional-grade sealant resists the passage of fire for up to 5 hours in suitably designed joints.

When exposed to heat, the sealant swells greater than 3 times its original size, creating a protective char that prevents fire spread. The selected fillers in the formulation provide excellent acoustic properties for sound deadening applications. Suitable for joints up to 50mm wide, this sealant requires no priming for most construction substrates and is easy to apply and tool off for a perfect finish.

Ideal for sealing joints, voids and irregular holes in fire walls, partitions and other structures, as well as maintaining the integrity of pipes and cables that penetrate them. Also perfect for internal perimeter pointing of fire rated door and window frames. Available in White or Brown.
