Forgefix Forgefast Pozi Elite Performance Wood Screw

The 5mm x 40mm Forgefast Pozi Elite Performance Wood Screw comes in packs of 800, offering enhanced strength for medium-duty applications where a more robust fastening solution is required. The increased 5mm diameter provides superior resistance to shearing forces compared to 4mm screws, making this an excellent choice for structural joinery, heavy-duty decking, and applications involving harder timber species.

This combination of 5mm diameter and 40mm length is ideal for joining materials up to 25-28mm thick where additional strength is needed, such as fixing heavy decking boards, structural framework, or applications involving dense hardwoods. The increased diameter distributes loads more effectively whilst maintaining good thread engagement. The generous pack quantity of 800 ensures you're well-equipped for substantial projects.

Featuring the universally accepted Pozi compatible drive with 6 underhead lobes, these screws deliver clean countersinking even in harder materials. The reinforced countersunk necks provide enhanced holding power under load. The anti-friction thread design is particularly beneficial with the increased diameter, minimising splitting risk in demanding applications. The serrated thread profile delivers excellent pull-out resistance, and the double cutting point accelerates drilling and can pierce 0.8mm steel. The advanced Elementech 400 coating provides exceptional corrosion protection, making these screws suitable for both interior and exterior structural applications.
