Patio & Surface Cleaning attachments are commonly known as hard surface cleaners or patio cleaners, though some are specialist products like Karcher's car chassis cleaner. They are designed to be used as an extension to a pressure washer lance and typically house a spray nozzle system inside a plastic or metal dome. On standard hard surface cleaners this dome is pressed against the surface to be cleaned (commonly either paving or a vertical surface like a garage door) - when the pressure washer is activated, the powerful spray is contained inside the dome. This ensures the operator and the surrounding area are not splashed by dirty water, small stones or any other debris lifted up during the cleaning process and is ideal for keeping doors, windows, furniture and bystanders clean while pressure washing outside the house or in public places.
