Portwest Arc Flash Class 1 Visor for Hard Hats and Safety Helmets
The Portwest Arc Flash Class 1 Visor (PS90) is a face shield designed to protect electricians and other tradespeople from the dangers of electric arc flash when working on or near live electrical equipment.
Classified as Arc Protection Class 1 and VLT Class 0 in accordance with GS-ET-29 and E DIN 58118, this visor delivers maximum light transmittance and improved colour recognition as specified under EN 170. This makes it well suited to precision electrical work where visual clarity is essential alongside robust face protection.
The visor consists of a clear face shield with a bracket designed for slotted hard hat caps. It is compatible with all Portwest hard hats, though it is recommended for use with non-vented, Category III helmets approved for arc flash protection at the maximum expected level. The universal slot adapter ensures straightforward fitment across a range of compatible headwear.
