If you can't get at the sump plug to change the oil, then this is the answer. The large capacity makes it ideal for large engines and, if you like keeping fit, then the hand operated version does just that! It takes a lot of pumping to extract 9lts! The main weakness, and it is a major inconvenience, is that the dipstick extractor pipe isn't long enough to allow you to get to the bottom of the sump AND stand the extractor on the ground to pump! Placing the pump on boxes or bricks doesn't help stability!
