The Spear and Jackson Neverbend Insulated Taper Mouth Treaded Contractors Shovel is a specialist digging tool designed for safe use when working on or near live electrical cables and wires.
Conforming to BS8020:2002, this shovel is individually tested to 1,000 volts, making it a compliant choice for contractors and utilities workers who regularly excavate around live services. Each shovel comes with an individual Certificate of Conformity and is marked with a unique traceability number, providing a clear audit trail for site safety records.
The taper mouth blade features rounded corners to help reduce accidental damage to buried pipes and cables during digging. An integrated hand stop prevents the hand from slipping forward onto the forged head, and the oil, chemical and water resistant polyfibre shaft is built to withstand demanding site conditions. Round bar treads on the shovel head provide additional foot purchase when digging into compacted ground.
