Spear and Jackson Neverbend Open Socket Square Mouth Contractors Shovel

The Spear and Jackson Neverbend Open Socket Square Mouth Contractors Shovel is a robust digging and shifting tool built for demanding site work, combining traditional construction with professional-grade materials.

The square mouth blade profile makes this shovel well suited to lifting and moving loose materials such as soil, aggregate, sand, and hardcore — tasks that are central to groundworks, landscaping, and general contracting. The open socket design provides a secure, reliable connection between blade and shaft, reducing the risk of loosening under heavy use.

The hardwood ash shaft delivers a natural, responsive feel without adding unnecessary weight, making it a practical choice for sustained use across a working day. An aluminium rivet locks the T-handle firmly in place, ensuring stability during repetitive digging and shovelling. The high-quality carbon steel blade is finished with a polyester-coated varnish to resist corrosion and extend service life.
