Spear and Jackson Tarmac Rake

The Spear and Jackson Tarmac Rake is a heavy-duty contractor's rake designed specifically for laying and spreading tarmac and asphalt. Built for professional use on road repair, driveway installation, and general surfacing work, it delivers the performance and durability that demanding site conditions require.

The carbon steel rake head features 16 round teeth set across a 385mm wide head, allowing contractors to spread and level material quickly and efficiently. The wide working width helps cover ground faster, making it a practical choice for larger surfacing jobs where speed and consistency matter.

A key design feature is the extra-long tang and socket, which creates additional distance between the handle shaft and hot tarmac surfaces. This helps protect the shaft from heat damage during use and extends the working life of the tool on active surfacing sites.
