Trend TEMP/BH/A Butt Hinge Template

The Trend TEMP/BH/A Butt Hinge Template is a routing jig designed to help carpenters and joiners cut accurate hinge recesses in doors quickly and consistently. Manufactured from clear 8mm thick plastic, the template provides clear visibility of the workpiece during routing for precise positioning.

The kit includes metal templates for both 75mm and 100mm butt hinges, held securely in the frame by integrated magnets. This allows for straightforward template changes between hinge sizes without the need for additional fixings. The template is suitable for use on doors from 35mm to 44mm thick.

The router cuts rounded corners as standard, which can be squared off using a corner chisel or standard chisel. A user-made batten (44mm x 34mm x 450mm) is required to complete the setup, along with a 12mm diameter cutter and 30mm guide bush.
