Trend TR17D Two Flute Router Cutter With Centre Cut

The Trend TR17D is a two-flute straight router cutter with centre cut, designed to deliver clean, precise results in abrasive sheet materials including MDF, chipboard, plywood and certain hardwoods.

With a 12.7mm cutting diameter and a generous 50mm cut length, this cutter is well suited to housing joints, grooving and mortising tasks where depth and accuracy are equally important. The centre tip configuration allows plunge cutting directly into the workpiece, adding versatility across a range of routing applications.

The cutter features 2mm micrograin Tungsten Carbide tips, chosen specifically for their ability to withstand the abrasive nature of engineered sheet materials and hardwoods whilst maintaining a sharp edge over extended use. A PTFE coating — identifiable by the cutter's distinctive black finish — helps reduce friction and resin build-up during cutting.

Fitted with an extra-long 40mm shank with etched dimensions for quick identification, this cutter takes a 1/2" shank and is compatible with routers accepting that collet size. The overall tool length of 93mm provides the reach needed for deeper housing and grooving work.
