The Black and Decker BLCJS78 18v Cordless Brushless Jigsaw delivers professional-grade cutting performance without the restriction of a power cable. Powered by Black and Decker's 18v lithium-ion platform, this jigsaw features a brushless motor for greater efficiency, longer runtime, and extended tool life compared to traditional brushed alternatives.
Designed with serious DIYers in mind, the BLCJS78 handles a wide range of cutting tasks including straight cuts, curves, and bevels through wood, metal, and plastics. The tool-free blade change system speeds up blade swaps, whilst the adjustable base plate allows bevel cuts for greater versatility.
Available as a bare unit (no batteries or charger) or as a kit including a 2.5Ah Li-ion battery and charger — compatible with the wider Black and Decker 18v battery range.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
