Bosch GCS 18V-230 18v Cordless Cutoff Saw Disc Cutter 230mm
The Bosch GCS 18V-230 is an 18V cordless disc cutter designed for fast, efficient cutting of metal and concrete in demanding trade and construction environments.
Powered by a brushless motor, this 230mm cutoff saw delivers consistent performance across a range of applications — from cutting rebar, pipe, metal studs and metal deck, to scoring concrete, cutting cinder block, and slicing through landscaping bricks and pavers. It is well suited to demolition contractors, commercial builders, and tradespeople working with masonry or stone façades.
The GCS 18V-230 is built with practical site use in mind. A patented spindle lock lever makes wheel changes fast and straightforward, while a quick-connect hose adapter and water shutoff valve allow for controlled wet cutting in concrete applications. Six guard adjustment positions and a wrap-around handle provide optimum balance and control, and the integrated LED light aids visibility in low-light conditions.
Safety is well considered throughout. An electronic brake rapidly stops wheel rotation the moment the trigger is released, and a spring-assisted battery removal system simplifies battery swaps — particularly useful when using larger 18V batteries in the field. A battery status indicator helps you monitor charge levels on site.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
