A powerful 350W engine gives the PEX 400 AE the abrasive force to be used to sand down doors, furniture and paint, and its comfortable and lightweight design also makes it suitable for delicate preparing and finishing applications. The sander's random orbit action moves the abrasive disc in a spiralling pattern, preventing any section of the abrasive from coming into contact with the sanding surface repeatedly, and leaving a smooth, scratch free finish.

A dynamically balanced motor, an ergonomic soft grip handle and an additional auxiliary handle inhibit vibration during use for better handling. Changing sandpaper sheets is easy - Bosch's Paper Assistant system utilises a Velcro type material which allows sheets to be peeled and attached by hand in seconds. Safety is ensured by an accessible on/off switch, and by the PEX 400 AE's patented microfilter system and re-usable dust box, a built-in dust extractor which automatically sucks in and collects harmful dust particles during operation.
