Bosch Professional Grinder Wheel Brushes are wire brushes for angle grinders, built for rust removal, weld cleaning, paint and scale stripping, and surface preparation. Tooled-Up.com stocks crimped and knotted wire wheels, conical and bevel profiles, and stainless steel (inox) options, including the Bosch PRO 0.5mm Crimped Wire Wheel Brush and the Bosch PRO Knotted Steel Wire Wheel Brush.
The selection also covers the Bosch PRO X-LOCK wheels, which fit X-LOCK angle grinders without a spanner. Specialist options include the Bosch PRO 0.35mm Inox Knotted Wire Wheel Brush, a 115mm bevel brush for cleaning stainless steel workpieces.
Key Features of Bosch Professional Grinder Wheel Brushes
- Crimped wire: The wavy wire gives a flexible, controlled action for general cleaning, light rust and surface preparation without gouging the metal beneath.
- Knotted wire: Twisted wire bundles cut aggressively, so they suit heavy scale, thick coatings and stubborn corrosion.
- Inox stainless steel wire: The 0.35mm inox brushes, in both knotted and crimped versions, help avoid contaminating stainless workpieces with carbon steel.
- Conical and bevel profiles: The angled shape reaches grooves, edges and tighter areas that a standard cup brush struggles to get into, giving more precision and control.
- Wire thickness options: Choose 0.35mm for finer, gentler cleaning or 0.5mm for tougher, more aggressive work.
- X-LOCK fitment: PRO X-LOCK crimped, knotted and stainless steel knotted wheels allow quick, tool-free changes between accessories on compatible grinders.
Always check the maximum speed marked on the brush against your grinder, and wear eye protection and gloves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose a crimped or knotted wire wheel brush?
Choose crimped wire for general cleaning, light rust removal and surface preparation, where flexibility and control matter. Choose knotted wire for heavy scale, thick coatings and stubborn corrosion, where you need a more aggressive cut.
Which Bosch Professional wire brush suits stainless steel?
The inox brushes, such as the Bosch PRO 0.35mm Inox Knotted Wire Wheel Brush and the PRO Conical 0.35mm Inox Crimped Wire Wheel, use stainless wire to help prevent cross-contamination. The PRO X-LOCK Stainless Steel Knotted Wire Wheel is another option. Keep stainless brushes separate from those used on carbon steel.
Will an X-LOCK wire wheel fit any angle grinder?
No. PRO X-LOCK wheels are designed for grinders with the X-LOCK mounting system. Check your grinder's fitment and its maximum speed against the brush rating before use. Available from Tooled-Up.com for compatible tools.
