The DeWalt 13 Piece Extreme 2 HSS-G Metal Drill Bit Set delivers professional-grade performance across a comprehensive range of sizes, supplied in a durable ToughCase organiser for site-ready use.
Engineered for portable drilling into alloyed and non-alloyed steel up to 900 N/mm², these HSS-G bits are equally at home in wood, plastics, thin sheet metal, and general metalwork applications. The No-Walk drill tips ensure clean, accurate starting without skipping, while recessed cutting wings produce burr-free holes — a significant advantage when working to close tolerances or on finished surfaces.
Compared to standard HSS-R drill bits, the Extreme 2 design offers up to 50% greater strength and up to 4x faster drilling speeds. An innovative tapered web reduces the risk of breakage under load, and a gold ferrous oxide coating helps prevent overheating during extended use. Bits of 5.0mm and above feature 3-sided No-Slip shanks, eliminating unwanted movement in the chuck.
The set is housed in a small ToughCase with a transparent lid for quick size identification. The ToughCase is compatible with DeWalt's TSTAK storage system, allowing it to be integrated into a TSTAK caddy or wheeled trolley stack for organised, efficient transport between jobs.
