DeWalt 18v XR Cordless Li-ion Battery and Charger Pack 5ah
The DeWalt 18V XR Cordless Battery and Charger Pack pairs a DCB184 5Ah lithium-ion battery with a DCB1104 charger, giving tradespeople everything needed to get started with the DeWalt 18V XR cordless system.
The DCB184 5Ah battery delivers extended runtime compared to smaller 2Ah and 4Ah alternatives, making it well suited to demanding site work where stopping to recharge is not an option. A push-button fuel gauge lets you check remaining charge at a glance, while built-in protection against overheat, overload, and deep discharge helps extend battery life over time.
The DCB1104 charger is supplied as the UK 240V mains version and is compatible with all DeWalt 18V XR batteries, as well as DeWalt 12V batteries. An illuminated panel displays charge status and changes colour to confirm when the battery is fully charged, removing any guesswork.
Features and Benefits:
• Genuine DeWalt 18V XR battery and charger set
• Compatible with all tools in the DeWalt 18V XR cordless system
• 5Ah capacity for longer runtimes than 2Ah and 4Ah batteries
• Push-button fuel gauge for checking remaining charge at any time
• No memory effect and virtually no self-discharge for maximum uptime
• Protection against overheat, overload, and deep discharge to prolong battery life
• DCB1104 charger compatible with DeWalt 12V and 18V XR batteries

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
