DeWalt DCW220 18v XR Cordless Belt Sander
The DeWalt DCW220 is an 18V XR cordless belt sander designed for professional finishing work across horizontal and vertical surfaces. Powered by a brushless motor, this cordless sander delivers extended durability and efficiency with variable speed control ranging from 198 to 320 metres per minute, allowing precise adjustment for different materials and applications.
The quick-release belt change system enables rapid switching of 75mm x 533mm sanding belts with tool-free belt tracking, minimising downtime on site. The direct AirLock dust port connects to extraction systems for cleaner working conditions, whilst wireless tool control capability provides enhanced jobsite management. An ergonomic low rear handle positions the operator closer to the belt for improved control, complemented by a front handle that supports comfortable two-handed operation in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
Ideal for carpenters, joiners and contractors working on site finishing, this belt sander suits applications including timber floor preparation, door fitting and general woodwork smoothing. The lock-on button facilitates extended sanding tasks, whilst the overmoulded handle reduces operator fatigue during prolonged use. Supplied as a bare unit with TSTAK VI case, dust bag and one 80-grit sanding belt.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
