Constructed from hardened steel (HSS) with a durable TiN coating, this 3.2mm carving bit excels at demanding applications across metals, hardened steel, fire ceramics, cast iron, plastics and hardwoods. The round tip cylinder shape allows for deep material removal, cutting flat areas, rounding edges, and creating stop cuts and V-cuts with precision control.

Ideal for professional metalworkers, engravers and craftspeople, this accessory performs exceptionally well for metal and glass engraving, stone carving, and removing flash from castings. The round tip design creates round-bottom slots and grooves, whilst holding the bit at 45 degrees enables clean V-cuts and side cutting applications.

For optimal results, allow the accessory to work without excessive force, using the sides of the head at angles less than 90 degrees. If chattering occurs, increase the RPM for smoother material removal. Recommended speeds vary by material: hardwood 18-24,000 RPM, softwood and steel 25-35,000 RPM, aluminium and brass 12-17,000 RPM, ceramics 18-35,000 RPM, and plastics 9-11,000 RPM.
