Mounted on an extra strong steel mandrel, this carbide-coated sanding drum allows you to work laterally or orbitally to smooth surfaces, enlarge holes, or create irregular cavities. The carbide coating provides exceptional durability that won't tear loose like ordinary sanding bands, delivering up to 30 times longer life compared to the standard Dremel 408 sanding drum.

The carbide grit enables this versatile accessory to function as both a sanding drum and a hole saw, making it ideal for plunge cutting into wood, plastics, laminates and ceramics. It performs effectively on hard and soft woods, ceramic wall tiles, composites, fibreglass and stone.

For optimal results, keep the drum edge flat against the workpiece and start at a lower speed, gradually increasing to avoid excessive heat. Apply minimal pressure and let the tool do the work to maximise accessory life. Not recommended for use on metal or painted surfaces as these materials will clog the drum easily.
