Festool EXO 18 18v Cordless ExoActive Exoskeleton
The Festool EXO 18 ExoActive Exoskeleton is a battery-powered wearable support system designed to reduce physical strain during overhead and chest-height work tasks.
Worn like a rucksack and adjustable to individual height, the ExoActive actively assists arm movement using an 18V battery-powered drive system, delivering up to 50 N (5 kg) of support force per arm. This makes it particularly well suited to tradespeople carrying out prolonged overhead activities such as dry mortarless construction, painting, wallpapering, and installation work on walls and ceilings.
The system gives users control over the level of assistance, with three selectable working areas and five support levels adjustable in seconds via Bluetooth. By reducing muscular fatigue, the ExoActive helps tradespeople maintain focus and sustain quality of work over longer periods — a genuine benefit on physically demanding sites.
The close-fitting design preserves a natural range of movement, while the textile and harness components are replaceable via a straightforward changing system. Supplied with the TG-EXO 18 carrying harness, KS-EXO 18 headrest, and an EPP transport box, the EXO 18 is fully compatible with the Festool 18V battery system.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
