Petrol Engines
It is important to read all instructions regarding petrol products. 4 Stroke engines require oil and some machines are supplied dry (No oil to start with). Running a 4 stroke petrol machine without oil will result in the engine seizing and is not covered under warranty.
2 Stroke engines will need to have a mix of oil in the petrol this is normally 1 part oil to 50 parts petrol but not always, again please read the instructions supplied with your machine. Petrol engines do require more maintenance than electric engines but if reguarly maintained they will normally give many years of use.

The smaller model wasn't really effective enough for compacting rubble and MOT1 on a canal towpath, but this machine does a good job. 4 stars for build quality only because some small bolts on exhaust protection cover vibrated loose and fell off within a few minutes. Fortunately we didn't lose them, and no more problems after tightening them properly.
After a long wait finally got my machine, 1st machine delivered Damaged. Long wait for replacement, delivered damaged. As I had waited so long. I repaired damage myself. I lost money waiting for This product. It also was missing the engine maintenance manual And no oil came with it as promised. Did e-mail company no reply. Unhappy with the service of your company. Ps. I would like the engine manual
Good tool for the money
Having hired for years I tentatively took the plunge and bought one of these. Top marks for a very prompt service to begin with. Delivered as promised and quickly. The machine looks as well built as any I've hired. Crucially, this machine really does the job very well indeed. It's very reassuring seeing your layers of sub base being firmly flattened. The handle design makes compacting internal and awkward floors very easy. A very pleased customer.
Good solid machine. Easy to assemble. Quick, effective and easy to use when compacting scalpings prior to laying concrete. Starts well and not too reasonable quiet. I found the optional wheel kit to be pretty much essential.
Great little compactor, compacts sub-base well and moves at a nice speed! it seems a sturdy build and pretty weighty at 63kilos. only used it on one job, but so far so good!
