The Handy THLC29142 Petrol Plate Compactor is the professional solution to creating a safe & trustworthy working area. Powered by a reliable Loncin 163cc OHV 4 Stroke Engine, the compactor forces loose soil, sand & gravel together, decreasing its permeability, increasing its load bearing capacity, & ensuring a level supporting surface. A range of well thought out features make Handy's model the compactor of choice for discerning professionals. A highly durable reinforced base plate is self cleaning to help reduce time spent on maintenance; also user friendly is the compactor's self adjusting centrifugal clutch. A closed V-belt guard keeps use safe even in stressful jobsite conditions, & the THLC29142's comfortable handle folds away conveniently for space saving storage.

The THLC29142 can be upgraded with Handy's folding wheel kit (part no: HDYTHLC31120), sold separately. After attachment, the wheel kit can be folded down to improve manoeuvrability when moving to & from jobs.

Petrol Engines

It is important to read all instructions regarding petrol products. 4 Stroke engines require oil and some machines are supplied dry (No oil to start with). Running a 4 stroke petrol machine without oil will result in the engine seizing and is not covered under warranty.

2 Stroke engines will need to have a mix of oil in the petrol this is normally 1 part oil to 50 parts petrol but not always, again please read the instructions supplied with your machine. Petrol engines do require more maintenance than electric engines but if reguarly maintained they will normally give many years of use.
