The system automatically differentiates between carpets and hard floors, adjusting its cleaning mode accordingly and avoiding carpeted areas during wet mopping operations. An ultrasonic sensor monitors carpet conditions and activates the Auto Boost function when increased suction power is required for more thorough cleaning.

Control is provided through a dedicated smartphone app via WLAN, enabling remote operation even when away from the property. The app allows users to create precise floor maps, establish no-go zones, and adjust cleaning parameters for individual areas where specific attention is needed. For those preferring manual operation, a push-button start is also available on the unit itself.

The RCV 5 features a pre-installed 5.2Ah lithium-ion battery and returns automatically to its compact charging station when the battery requires recharging or cleaning schedules are complete.
