Kew Gardens Carbon Steel Digging Fork
The Kew Gardens Carbon Steel Digging Fork is a professional-grade garden fork designed for heavy-duty soil cultivation and ground preparation. Manufactured by Spear & Jackson in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, this digging fork combines horticultural expertise with traditional British engineering to deliver a tool built for long-term reliability.
Part of the renowned Neverbend range, this fork features a solid forged carbon steel head that delivers exceptional strength and durability. The carbon steel construction is at least 50% stronger than stainless steel alternatives, making it ideal for breaking up compacted soil, turning over garden beds, and working through demanding ground conditions. The hammer finished epoxy coating provides enhanced resistance to rust, humidity and alkalis commonly found in soil.
The 760mm shaft and longer socket design reduce the need for excessive bending during use, helping to minimise back strain during extended digging tasks. The FSC certified weatherproofed ash handle features a traditional split YD shape for comfortable grip and control, whilst the single-piece forged construction ensures superior strength at the critical junction between head and handle.
Features and Benefits:
• Neverbend carbon forged from a single piece of steel for greater strength
• Longer socket and handle reduces the need for bending and helps avoid back strain
• Hammer finished epoxy coating for improved resistance to rust, humidity and alkalis in the soil
• FSC certified wooden split YD shaped weatherproofed ash handle for greater durability
• At least 50% stronger than stainless steel
