Makita DHP490 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Combi Drill
This bare unit configuration of the Makita DHP490 is ideal for tradespeople who already own Makita 18v LXT batteries and chargers, allowing you to expand your tool collection without duplicating accessories. The DHP490 delivers up to 65Nm of max torque with its high-efficiency brushless motor, providing reliable performance for both drilling and driving applications.
The mechanical 2-speed gearbox lets you switch between high-speed drilling (1900 RPM) and low-speed, high-torque mode (500 RPM) for tackling different materials. With variable speed control, an electric brake, and a keyless chuck accepting bits from 1.5-13mm, you'll have complete control over every task. Built with eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT), this compact drill resists dust and water ingress, whilst the LED work light with pre-glow and afterglow functions illuminates your work area effectively.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
