This is the body-only variant of the Makita DHR242, supplied without batteries, charger, or case - ideal for tradespeople who already own Makita 18V LXT batteries and want to expand their tool collection cost-effectively. You'll receive the hammer drill complete with depth gauge and side handle, ready to use with your existing battery system.
The brushless motor delivers exceptional performance with 0-4,700 blows per minute and 2.0J impact energy, capable of drilling up to 24mm in concrete, 13mm in steel, and 27mm in wood. The three-mode operation provides maximum versatility, whilst the vibration-absorbing rubber joint construction protects your batteries from damage during demanding applications. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
