The Makita DHR280 Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless SDS Plus Hammer Drill is a powerful rotary hammer featuring a 36v brushless motor powered by two 18v lithium-ion batteries. Brushless motors deliver superior efficiency compared to brushed motors, providing extended runtime per charge, zero maintenance requirements, and reduced heat generation for prolonged use.
This versatile 3-mode machine offers rotary hammer mode for drilling concrete up to 28mm, rotary-only mode for drilling wood, plastic and steel, and hammer-only mode for chiselling applications. The drill features anti-vibration technology to reduce user fatigue, constant speed control for consistent performance, and an electric brake for enhanced safety.
Available with or without the DX08 dust extraction attachment, allowing you to choose the configuration that best suits your working environment and dust management needs.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
