Makita DJR183 18v LXT Cordless Reciprocating Saw
The Makita DJR183 is an 18v cordless reciprocating saw designed for versatile cutting applications across wood, plastic and ferrous metals. Part of Makita's trusted LXT range and based on the proven JR100D series, this compact saw delivers professional performance in a lightweight 1.7kg package that's ideal for working at height or in confined spaces.
Built for efficiency on site, the DJR183 features a tool-free blade clamp system that allows quick blade changes with a simple turn mechanism, minimising downtime between cuts. The dual trigger configuration includes both a main handle switch and paddle switch with variable speed control, enabling comfortable operation from multiple grip positions whether cutting horizontally, vertically or overhead.
An integrated LED job light with pre-glow function illuminates the cutting line before you pull the trigger, whilst the adjustable shoe allows precise depth control and extends blade life. The rubberised soft-grip overmoulding reduces fatigue during extended use and provides secure handling in demanding site conditions. With a 13mm stroke length and variable speed up to 3000 strokes per minute, this saw handles everything from rough demolition work to precision cuts in materials up to 50mm thick.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
